Hope you’re all doing well; I’ve been busy with school but lurking here on Oppo in my free time and commenting occasionally. Just wanna let you all know, keep being awesome!
Uni classes have been gnarly these past few weeks and the only Camero content I’ve assembled so far is this pic of the car. Been working ahead in hopes of doing some video work later.
Officially in all upper-division classes this year, lots of Microsoft Excel work for this business degree. I’m enjoying the technical challenges, but it’s a ton of reading too.
I’ve been to 3 autocross events with the Camero now and it’s been awesome. Fuel economy is great when commuting.
How have you all been? How are the cars doing, and if you’re a college Oppo, how are classes?

Doing well. I’ve learnt that the Mini is faster on an autox course than the Vette (no surprise really, Mi ni has RE71 and Vette has some Nittos #BlameBeaterGT for that). I’m just waiting for snow to come in so I can do control arm bushings, coilovers, swaybars and buy proper rubber for next year.

friday started with an email from my boss, along the lines of ‘just a reminder that i’m out of the office today and this weekend, but if you could work this weekend it would be a huge help.’
so i’m at work today.

Can’t wait to get RE71Rs for the Camero; the stock tires are pretty good but not nearly as grip-tastic as the Bridgestones can be.
How’s the ‘vette been driving lately? Are the V8 noises as awesome as everyone says?

See that’s one of Oppo’s key functions, keeping days like this manageable!
Hope work goes well, and driving goes well afterwards :)

The Vette is well, I changed all the wheel bearing which tightened up the handling a bit, but compared to the Mini it is still spongy (best way I can describe it) on the street. It weirdly comes alive at autox tho....The Mini is very flickable whereas with the Vette I have to very smooth to get time out of it. It quite tough and exactly what I wanted when from it!
V8 sounds are some of the best I’ve heard...Its one of the few engines that sound good at any RPM and any throttle position.

Which business degree are you getting? I haven’t had to mess with Excel very much.

I’m exhausted. The last three weeks I've worked 12 hour days almost every day. We started an inventory project that threw everything into chaos. I have no idea when things will be back to normal. The extra money is a plus, but it doesn't really do you any good if you have no free time to spend it. Other than that I'm doing ok.

Whoa whoa. Is that a C6 with a C2 bodykit? That is extremely relevant to my interests. More info/pics of the car?

Having taken some project management classes recently, I think I know what you mean. Best of luck working through it, you’ve got this! Hope it cools down soon.

As of about a month ago, I’m a Supply Chain major. Was pursuing the Entrepreneurship emphasis before but wasn’t finding the classes “challenging” from a technical standpoint. Lots of “this is how to be creative and generate business ideas” but not a lot of concrete details.
Supply Chain involves a lot of analytics & decision modeling, and it’s almost entirely Excel-based. Math is pretty fun for me, so I totally nerd out over it every day :D

Well, we might recover from the inventory crisis, but it’s about to be our busiest time of the year for the next 3 months. So....kinda?
I do get a vacation coming up, at the end of October. It can't come soon enough.

Do you have to write macros in Excel?

Nice! In these parts, I don’t really know of anyone that finds the classes fun. I’m Marketing. Are you going back to school, or are you still on the traditional undergrad track (ex. Graduated high school 2016 or 2017).

Still undergrad, hopefully wrapping up next year. How do you like Marketing?

Heck yeah. I’ve learned enough VBA coding that I’ve made a spreadsheet that keeps track of all my assignments & due dates. Extremely useful for 5 classes’ worth of routine homework & projects.
Have you done any macro/VBA work?

I actually really enjoy it. I don’t know about a lot of other people, though. Everyone thinks it’s hard, but nursing, Exercise Science, etc. seem much harder. I’m graduating in May.

I have done some, yes. Mostly its been to write stuff from Matlab to Excel using a com server for my school projects, but I’ve had to use it to decrease my workload at my job too.
I’ve done more C than VBA, used to write customized functions for Creo (CAD software) at my previous workplace.

All is well, and so far the Z06 has gone the most miles in my possession without breaking, which is an achievement for a 17 year old Chevy.

It is and I do!
It looked a little weird/out of proportion from the front but didnt snap that angle. :/ Overall looked good though. Cant remember the name of the company but they charge big bucks for the conversion. This one was at the lingenfelter tent so it was probably had some big power as well. That red C7 behind it was supercharged to 1000 hp!
